Downloaded the 11/2024.67 update via the MINI app for the U25 BEV earlier this week, and uploaded it to the U25. Now the U25 says I "will be notified as soon as the upgrade can be installed".

Does anyone else have the same issue?

I’ve read elsewhere that 12v battery status may block the update. I may try mine today. I may experience the same issue because I don’t regularly drive long distances or every day. I’ll try to report back.

Update is done! I drove around for 2 minutes, parked the vehicle and turned off the drive ready mode. Once in the accessory mode I was able to run the update! The MINI OS9 is much snappier!

Not sure if it was the difference maker, but I was previously parked on an incline and the update worked while I parked on a level surface.

Good news! I, too, had success today with the update. It took about 10 minutes. You are right, OS9 seems more responsive.

Got the update this weekend. The system is indeed more responsive. I wish the navigation voice were updated though. He still says "rudd" instead of "road."

hi.. New user, and I've been trying to do this update for 3 full days now. 2024 Countryman SE Iconic. I've had that 12v Battery Status issue the whole time. Each time I try, I charge up to 80%, go for a 20-30 min drive and try again.. no luck :/

Follow up: Yup.. there are some Technical Service Bulletins for our SE's, according to the Dealer. Taking it in tomorrow for a checkup and All The Things.

Yes apparently pre-March 2024 builds w/ MINI OS9 generally need a dealership visit. That 12V battery status was also common for BMW firmware updates with ISTA when the voltages was under 12.55V.

The F-150 Lightning had the same issue, there was a recall on the 12 V battery status module that was preventing OTA updates. Weird that it's so common.

Now I am slightly concerned about MotoringFile's "sources" because there's a new article posted March 13, 2025 about this update. The update was made available for ICE models (and BMW iDrive 9) more than 3 months ago.

It's literally written by ChatGPT or woodpress AI content writer from the MINI Release Notes. Officially it's 11/2024.67 but of course AI wouldn't go and verify with multiple sources.
