1.5 amp Apple CarPlay USB port charger charging slow

Is anyone noticing slow charge speeds from the 1.5 Amp usb charger? I’m only getting .8 amps.

On some cables it is useless. Some of members here have done some type of upgrade to address this. Hopefully they will weigh in.

Charging for any device tends to depend on the cable thickness. If the wire gauge is thin it won't reach high current levels. Generally you need 24 AWG minimum, but 21 AWG and even 20 AWG wires are available on the market.
