Scheduled charging is no longer working for us. Our 2018 Clarity used to charge at midnight, as scheduled. I have updated the app. We have now scheduled the charge time to begin at 9pm. But when we get home and plug in the car, it starts charging right away during peak electrical times, rather...
Just lucked into a 2023 Kona Ev.
Can I safely use Level 3 DC chargers that are rated at more than 100kwh?
The car is rated to max at 100kwh, but I don't know if, for example, it (or the charger) will safely downgrade a 300kwh charger.
I’ve read through the forums and my issue seems a bit more serious than a Charger error.
here’s the story.
2018 Honda Clarity 142,685 miles
Last night I put my car (10% charge left) on the same Charger Point level 2 charger at my local college that I normally do. When I returned, the charging...
Hello all,
As someone who cares about customer experience and sees the potential that EV's provide for my future and that of many others, I am intrigued as to how they can be better integrated into our day to day lives. With that said, a close friend of mine and I want to hear from other EV...
I have a 2020 Kia Niro PHEV and for the last three months have only been able to charge it using an extension cord. I know this is not recommended but I have no choice as I am temporarily renting. I have the Type 1 charger plugged into a 14A outdoor extension cord just outside my front door and...
We only charge the battery to 80% unless we are anticipating a longer trip. In summer weather this gives us about 250 miles of range. We normally recharge when the range gets to be less than 100 miles.
I am wondering for optimum battery life if we would be better off to charge every night to...
Recently took our first long road trip in the Kona. Going from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island to St. John's, Newfoundland and back, with a few small trips in the middle.
Here's the data for you nerds...
Hi there! My name is Selina and I work for WeaveGrid, a cleantech company partnered with utility companies to provide EV programs to drivers in their territories. We are conducting research to promote sustainable transport and learn about the habits and motivations of EV drivers.

I have updated my 2022 Kona with the April 22 map update, and have the Charging Station filter set to not show AC chargers. While driving through New Brunswick along the Trans Canada, if I do a Search|Along Route, I noticed that the Built In Nav system did not know about *any* DC chargers along...
I have had the Clarity for a little over 3 1/2 years now. It has been charged 637 times (full and partial). The vehicle has been (and continues to be) completely trouble free. The charging port has never been touched by any EVSE other than the home setup with a L2 JuiceBox 32 Pro (and a...
I'm currently thinking about starting a company that offers a service that makes it easy to set up wallbox p2p sharing. So if you have three minutes, it would be very kind to support my efforts. The questionnaire does not contain any topics that violate your privacy or collect personal data...
Hi everybody. We've made a video that explains charging the Cooper SE.
It's aimed at newbies, but worth watching even if you already understand EV charging, in my opinion.

Hi all! I'm a grad student at MIT working on a class project, and we're trying to learn first-hand from EV owners / prospective buyers about their charging experiences, particularly at home.
Would anyone be willing to chat with me and my teammates about your EV ownership and charging...
Hello, looking for some help here. Wife was driving the car a couple days ago in below 0 F temps when a series of warning indicators flashed. "CRITICAL FAILURE DETECTED, STOP DRIVING WHEN SAFE", "12 Volt Battery Charging System Problem", "Low Battery Charge. Power Reduced" and a red battery icon...

I am new to this forum so I apologize in advance if this question has already been asked and answered.
I am considering purchasing an EV as a station car. I have a normal household 15amp outlet in my garage, and was planning to use that as a charger in my home instead of installing a 50amp...
I come home in the evening with SOC, e.g. 75%, I turn on the climate and charging programmer so that 10 minutes before the morning departure to heat interior and avoid charging from the mains all night long (company car, I charge at work). I plug in the AC cable, the car informs me that charging...
I'm seeing a lot on the internet about CCCV charging, but when I look at car batteries most curves don't seem to follow CCCV.
Is this because CCCV is only for longevity and car batteries are manufactured in between safe margins?
Thanks in advance :)
Sorry if I'm being really stupid here, but I have an issue I cannot fix...
I normally charge my 64kw Kona (early 2021 model, 7,000 miles) in using the 3 pin portable charger at home (we're moving soon, hence no 7kw wall unit) and was doing so last night when the app told me charging completed...
