I searched around for this answer and didn’t find it, my apologies if this is a duplicate post. Problem: When Preconditioning the car with either FOB or App, XM radio is silent and requires radio reset or car reboot. Fix (Kinda): If you preconditioned the car, instead of using the door handle to open the car, use the unlock button on the key fob BEFORE opening the door. Seems there is an issue with the computer communicating with the XM receiver when the door handle is used and the XM radio module remains in anti-theft mode. Not a fix, but certainly a better work around than resetting the radio.
Thanks for sharing this, Cowgoomoo. Now the trick for me is to remember it next December or January, when I next use Preconditioning. Maybe Honda will fix the bug by then.
