I'm guessing this has more to do with the other models made at this plant. But, there will be a production hiatus for the last six weeks of the year. https://www.cnbc.com/2017/10/12/gm-plans-to-temporarily-shut-down-detroit-factory-report-says.html
Compared to the Lacross and the CT6 the Volt and Impala are doing OK on inventory levels although the Volt is a bit high at 100... The Lacross has a whopping 300 days inventory for September 2017! Yikes! And while this is only a single instance, the dealer I bought from is having no trouble selling lots of Bolts... but Volt sales have dropped off a cliff. He personally sold 10 Volts in the 3 months leading up to the Bolt release in Texas. In the 3 months since then, he has sold 4 volts and 20 Bolts. http://www.buzzsmith.us/bolt-evs-effect-on-volt-sales/
Here's the September sales report for GM. This factory produces the Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac CT6, Chevrolet Impala, and Chevrolet Volt. Only the Impala seems to be holding its own.
