    Enjoy!

ETA: I actually posted this before watching it. Now that I have, the two MINIs under covers really caught my attention, because the team recently announced that they were going "on hiatus" for a while. Could it be that they've got a couple of F66s that they are prepping to race in 2026? It will be interesting to find out!

interesting comment about the use of plastic versus metal parts (for the ICE MINIs). Makes me wonder what plastic parts are used in my SE, that might be subjected to heat issues down the road.

I don't know, but as discussed re. replacing the coolant, EVs don't get nearly as hot (due to the high efficiency of electric motors vs. ICE engines).

I suppose another consideration is, what happens if a plastic part fails?

If you crack/break/snag the low-mounted plastic coolant return pipe at the back of the motor, you better stop driving very quickly, or you'll cook the engine in no time. I suppose the same could be said for the battery of the SE if you rapidly lost all the coolant, but then I would also assume that the software would shut things down to prevent a battery fire.
