  1. This may be of interest for owners of Hyundai, Kia, or Genesis EVs. Lectron has a V2L adapter and I reviewed it.

My latest video just went live. Not all parts of this video are based on the new format since I had recorded some of the clips a few months ago, but it is a preview of the changes to come. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Well produced. The product is the subject, fast enough to fit my time, and sounds like a good product.

  4. Great job again, as always. I like how you point out the detail differences.

I have this one for my Ioniq 6. While I have yet to rely on it during a full power outage, I have tested it on various appliances incl power tools, and works fine. I like that it comes with a long cord and a multiple outlet box with a breaker.

Amazon tip: Click on the rectangle with an up-arrow to the right of an Amazon product photo and then choose "Copy link" from the context menu that pops up. A short link like this will be copied to your clipboard: https://a.co/d/4Lt0l0v

  8. Thank you very much. I am glad you like it. The next videos are all going to be produced in the new format and the next one will have a clip explaining the changes coming.

    Thank you very much!
Interesting V2L you bought! I like that it has a cable and powerbar, but makes it more difficult to store. I assume that pretty much eliminates it from being stored in the frunk?

  9. Great job, with your unique perspective makes an entertaining also informative video.
I think I will choose the Hyundai original when the time comes (waiting for the PE 2025 I5) - c/w metal latch and on/off button make a better choice for my requirements.
Also getting one for free makes a difference - the dealer smucked up the entire right side my ordered 2024 I5 between the detail shop and the showroom, so I was promised the free V2L adaptor when the new enhanced model arrives as some compensation;)

  10. Thank you very much. Sorry to hear you had issues with the dealer and your car. I hope things get resolved properly and quickly.

  11. It's actually not that big, and rolls up tight in a little carrying back. Can fit in the frunk or in the back underneath. But will likely never take it on the road. I bought it as a back-up for a power outage at home.

  13. That's good to know, regarding the size.
    Thanks.

  14. If you compare it to an EVSE which I sometimes carry in the car, it is much more compact. The cord is thinner (only needs to carry 15A) so coils up tight, and outlet box is thinner and lighter.
