Hello, our team is part of a school EDD (Engineering Design and Development) Pogram. We also use PLTW to coordinate our project. Our goal is to design a project over the course of a year to solve a real world problem. As electric and hybrid cars become more prevalent in the marketplace, we have discovered that it can be costly on the environment and the wallet to be constantly charging your car and using more energy. Batteries in an electric car support many different features and even power the vehicle’s drive train. We have decided to implement a passive charging device that will charge the car while it drives or while it is stationary through solar, wind, or thermoelectric means. I wish you hadn't used "passive" to describe the charging mechanism. Solar, wind, or thermoelectric systems are far from passive. Bob Wilson
