Thanks for the answers for "What is Gear node?"

I've never noticed that even though I always drive with the info screen on the tablet.

I'll keep an eye open in the future. I'm also curious to learn more. I'm sure there are many threads here on it. If anyone knows of one off the top of their head, please post it.

    Thanks, George

Here's a thread that discusses how the Clarity's ICE can increase its speed for no apparent reason vs Engine Drive mode ("gear mode") when the engine's speed is tied (through a clutch) to the car's road speed.

  5. I forget where I recently saw this, but some wag quipped that this was how he or she felt when using HV CHARGE:

That's funny! However, I plan to recreate that scene. When I get my electric car (which, GRRR, won't be a Honda e), I plan to discover it's actual range by driving until its battery is completely discharged (relying on the manufacturer's battery-protection buffer). Then I will have my wife bring our generator to wherever my test ends and I'll read a book while the generator trickles in enough charge to get me home to my EVSE.

I won't be like the crude driver who parked his Tesla on a stranger's front lawn, plugged into the stranger's outdoor outlet, then left. He returned 12 hours later after stealing the electricity to charge his car and never apologized (the article doesn't say how long the victim left the extension cord plugged in).
