Planning to install level2 charger at home.

May buy a Tesla in the future.

Wanted to be more future proof and thought...

Instead of buying a SIemens or GE or Chargepoint system, why not buy a Tesla wall charger instead, as it costs just about the same.

I imagine tesla doesn't provide an adapter for their cords to a J1772 charger?

The adapters exist, but are expensive (around $240). Look for TeslaTap or "Jadapter Stub".

Level 2 would be fine for a tesla and they come with the adaptor already . Most versatile is a level 2 charger. You won't need more than 32 amps for a Tesla, it should be fine for overnight charging

After reviewing the economics, I think I will just live with the tesla mobile charger if and when I get a tesla. Thanks for the replies guys!
