The Nav map is in permanent night mode with only a brightness adjustment. The day/night option would be much better.
I know what you mean, and there have been numerous comments from European EV6 owners about the black background being the only option at the moment. I just traded a Kona EV for my EV6 and the most recent NAV upgrade for the Kona had added the dark background to three much lighter options, so I figured that Kia inadvertently configured the EV6 map options for only the dark background. I think several European owners stated that they had contacted Kia and were told that we have to wait for the next update release to fix this. I contacted Kia here and was told that it will be an OTA update and to just sit tight.
