Tesla Tax Incentive Expiration update

I am curious until when I have to order a Tesla before the tax incentive expires.. basing on when it is able to sell its 200,000th car.

Based on last earnings, they have delivered 148,798 cars to date. Is that an accurate measurement? Is this the number we have to watch?

THey are wanting to reach 6000 cars made per week. THat take approx. 8 months before they sell the 200,000th?

It says your tesla will have to be delivered before the end of the year to take advantage of the credit.

Electric Vehicle Incentives

The following federal income tax credits are available to anyone who purchases a new Tesla Model S, Model X or Model 3:

$7,500 On or before December 31, 2018
$3,750 January 1 to June 30, 2019
$1,875 July 1 to December 31, 2019
Several states and local utilities offer additional electric vehicle incentives for customers, often taking the form of a rebate. Rebates can be claimed immediately after purchase, while tax credits are claimed when filing income taxes.

Many states also offer non-cash incentives, such as carpool lane access in California and free municipal parking.

Arizona Reduced Vehicle License Tax, Carpool lane access and reduced rates for electric vehicle charging
California $2,500 rebate (based on income eligibility)
Connecticut $3,000 rebate for new vehicles with a base price under $60,000
Colorado $5,000 tax credit for purchase of a new vehicle
$2,500 tax credit for lease of a new vehicle
Delaware $1,000 rebate for new vehicles with a base price over $60,000

Hawaii Carpool lane access and reduced rates for electric vehicle charging
Louisiana $2,500 income tax credit
Maryland $3,000 Excise Tax Credit for new vehicles with a total price under $60,000
$700 rebate on wall connectors and installation
Massachusetts $1,000 rebate for new vehicles with a base price over $60,000
$2,500 rebate for new vehicles with a base price under $60,000
Nevada Reduced rates for electric vehicle charging
New Jersey Sales tax exempt
New York $500 rebate for new vehicles with a base price over $60,000
$2,000 rebate for new vehicles with a base price under $60,000
Pennsylvania $1,750 rebate for new vehicles with a base price under $50,000
(500 rebates available between January 1 and June 30, 2018)
Washington DC Excise tax exempt
All of the above incentives are available when purchasing a Tesla vehicle with cash or a loan. Only California, Colorado, Massachusetts, New York, and Tennessee incentives are available when leasing a Tesla vehicle.

Incentive programs are offered and administered by government agencies. Eligibility and availability vary and are outside of Tesla’s control. Most programs are limited to a total dollar amount that can be dispersed or will expire on a certain date. Actually, I did not even have a reservation! I just ordered it and paid 8/10

And can confirm this is legit. They have emailed me again asking for the trade details, loan details etc.

And they really are looking at delivery in about a week!!

I feel I may have lucked out having a vehicle that possibly was ordered.

I do wonder if anyine else had a similar experience.

I took delivery of my model 3 yesterday.

Ordered Aug 10. Delivered 8/27 - 17 days.

They said it so happened exact same model was sitting in the Birmingham facility and it was transported right away to Charlotte.

If its anything, the Charlotte lot was full of them probably in The 100s, and they said all except maybe 1 or 2 are sold.

First impressions!

Love it! It's a Fun Car to drive. Acceleration is awesome! Much better than the camaro I had before. Size is on the small side. Coming from a LaCrosse. I am now a family man so I wish it was a little bigger. But can deifintielt fit my wife and 2 kids in the car without problems.

The Main con I have is it sits very low on The ground, hard to get in and out in comparison. But I understand this is more of a sports car and low profiles the norm for this kind of car.
