We know the game. Companies like GM spend money, that could go to their useless backwards profits or making their products competitive, but instead spend it on enriching spyware spam companies to lie their potential customers into sales that more awareness on the part of the buyer would never allow. It is a game of misleading or in essence it is all false advertising. But these companies in mining and selling citizen's privacy also undermines the citizenry's voice which undermines their rights and freedom and undermines democracy. Its rotten to the core.

These companies couldn't survive in an environment where customer word of mouth and customer satisfaction spread through horizontal communication backed up by open honest search un-corrupted and un-conflicted by sponsorship. Better customer information and transparency would mean they couldn't pay to lie people into unjustified sales. In essence a firm like GM sells you the experience or sells you the ad while they try to cheapen, dumb down, program to break and resist safety and environmental regulation as much as possible. They also spend a lot of money having the ad platforms try to sell lies about the competition which they 'market' as journalism which is really just more ads and more false advertising.

So even when Facebook and Google try to sell predictions on the people they spy and spam on all of it is clearly failing when Tesla can conqueror major industries as it will be one after another with raw product quality, value, features and technology and a end user empowering, hope providing mission.
That means the feed-back loop on paid lying is being broken down. How are we going to have a piece of sht lie based society not worth living in if there are counter examples like this where people are treated like people and provided with value instead of treated like property and vamped upon? Its so damn funny GM will spend 5 billion a year on ads that get it nowhere when that could have gone to its useless parasite shareholders. Same for BMW- don't know why BMW workers don't go on strike to get rid of that stupid rule in the Rhenish system that allows the lazy parasite owners to break board ties through management- guessing BMW would have already gone actually electric if that weren't the case- but if you had to guess where the remnants of the German hardline conservatives left over from the war had their money you know it has to be to a large extent in fossil fuels- so much so they can't get out of it. Think about how much lying is needed to support that nonsense.

To prevent this destruction of the lies for profit mass drown out censorship industry it has hit upon trying to force Tesla to buy ads through a share holder vote- what is next (?) a share holder effort to get it to buy more gasoline? This is a clear attempt to sabotage the company by desperate lying scammers. If it were to somehow pass I'd expect Musk and the board to figure out a ways to piss on it and not waste the money on clearly sabotaging the firm- would be an unlawful order at best. How laughable- you didn't spend enough money on advertising like you were ordered to-- get real(!) there is no compliance with corruption! It reminds me of the notion of the fraudulent notion of 'free publicity' and them wanting to censor Musk. Its as if the parasites think it is their god given right to be paid every time someone speaks- where as we as a society should be figuring out how to lock up these fools who have worked to enclose speech for the benefit of paid lying while we outlaw their schemes. Speech is an inalienable commons- it is not ever for their profit. And no one can buy mindshare because there will never be anyone in a position to sell it because it belongs inalienably to the society and individual people.

We don't need the ad industry, it is obsolete unethical, immoral- through its barrel scraping it is always attempting to sell what doesn't belong to it (the attention others) in a downward spiral. It has not right to interrupt, or enclose attention or spread its graffiti. Only people have rights, that industry collectively or by the firm literally has no rights and no claim in this matter. It is another criminal enterprise (selling tobacco to teens etc.) waiting for people to see that A can't sell to C what belongs to B (attention) without permission to include prior non solicited signaled consent on the part of B globally on an opt in basis, but on case by case basis, always unilaterally and globally instantly revocable by the end user and where all the money in the transaction must go to the end user and where all info about the end user belongs to the end user only and where its sale requires the explicit prior permission of the end user and where all the money in that transaction must go to the end user. We're just about at the point where society remembers that commercial speech is always last in line for the best of reasons. Hoping when we go after the ad industry to replace it with open, honest, un-conflicted search and bribe free elections that we remember like the EU how to slam these firms with percentage points of profit for decade long durations- actions that disincentive their entire racket. There is no imperative for Google or Facebook to be 'profitable' that society has to respect or allow- and in breaking them up it can't simply de-silo people's private info casting it to the wind but it can take a pin to these firms useless ill-gotten gain 'profits.' There is no 'business case' or revenue consideration or 'jobs' consideration there is only what is in the public interest with extreme prejudice, and going the other way- anything else is begging to turn your society into a trash pile based on lies with people so weakened and sickened they can't even defend themselves against outside attack.

And it is true that Google helped bring us search and developed the tech but it should remember: "do no evil." The good that it has done did not have to be based on evil, there is surely another way. As for Facebook Zuckerberg thought people who used it were stupid both firms snuggled up to the surveillance state which is snuggling up to terror.
