This rigid wiring harness may be the final bottle neck to allowing Tesla to blast out cars at a rate never seen before. Presumably this shows up in the Berlin vehicles. Suspect also that there will be more casted components for Model 1 (or Model 2) or simply more for existing vehicles. I under stand there are places where super tough light stuff like Alumasteel is needed but expect almost all else will be done in aluminum. Even the motor in Model Y from Model 3 changed from expensive copper elements to much cheaper and lighter aluminum. That will surely be used in Model 3 soon because its such a money saver and lighter. One thing that might have slowed the ridged harness adoption might have been the possible use of close link or conduit directed wireless (if I have that right.) Fiber optic has been used in some autos for data for a couple decades. But there must still be rigid wiring harnesses for power wires.
