Looks like the overturned Golden Ray off the coast of GA (a major car import port) is causing havoc with shipping. In addition, the Golden Ray's owners are South Korean. Doesn't mean that it was carrying Hyundais and Kias, but I can't help wondering if anyone got a notice that their delivery date was unexpectedly pushed back? (edit to add: delivery delays are small potatoes compared to four missing crew members, I know. Sympathies to the families and friends of members of the merchant marine. Just curious as the incident pertains to shipping tragedies) From the LA Times.. "The Golden Ray, which the Coast Guard said was transporting cars, is flagged out of the Marshall Islands and was headed to Baltimore, according to the website vesselfinder.com. The ship’s registered owner is a South Korean company."
