So, the safety features on my Kona did their job today. On my way home from work, there was a semi truck on the other side of the freeway that was spinning out of control, honestly it looked like a ballerina twirling, a deadly one, but still. Thanks to the blind spot sensors and forward collision avoidance, I was safely able to exit the carpool lane just as the semi came through the concrete barrier and would have destroyed me and my car, as I would have been right there. He did take out at least one car on his side of the road that I could see, but pretty sure that no one was hit or harmed on my side of the road, I am just glad that I was able to avoid getting into an accident and didn't cause any others in the process. So, just know those safety features really.do help in an emergency.
