My sales person said that the roof rails, not the crossbars mind you, came as part of my 2019 eve and are merely hiding, flush with the car body and hidden under the rain gutters on the roof. Is that true? I nearly took a flat head to those panels but thought I’d check in here first. Hyundai.com doesn’t appear to have them as accessories for the EV, only the Kona ice. As I understand it, not all accessories are cross compatible. Also companies like Thule don’t list them as separate vehicles either. People are clearly talking about roof racks here so they must exist. Whether they’re custom-made or something else though it’s still a mystery to me. Thanks in advance guys.
If you're in the US, none of the Kona Electrics have roof rails, nor do they even have the factory drilled holes to mount them if you ever got a hold of the parts. I saw a post a short while back where RackAttack actually drilled the holes and installed permanent rails for mounting crossbars. But I'd never let anyone drill into my roof!
