I had originally signed up at no cost but now I am asked to put a deposit. It is going to have a lot of hand assembly

The day has come. We can't thank you enough for your support and for reserving a Bollinger truck.

The suggested retail price for the B1 Sport Utility Truck will be $125,000. The suggested retail price for the B2 Pickup Truck will be $125,000.

The Bollinger B1 and B2 trucks will feature hand-assembled craftsmanship, a 120 kWh battery pack, patent-pending storage options, dual motors, in-wheel portal gear hubs, 5,000-lb. payload capacity, and 15-inch ground clearance, delivering a unique all-electric experience. Our intention is to go production with all of the components and features that our team developed from the start; This level of detail is labor-intensive to produce, but it’s important that we stay true to our DNA. These trucks deliver a level of performance unlike anything on the market or coming to market.

We are now accepting $1,000 refundable deposits at the following link:

Targeting low-volume production, we will build both the B1 and B2 in the U.S. Production will start in 2020 with first deliveries slated for 2021. The trucks will be sold and serviced through independent dealers throughout the U.S. and globally.

As a Reservation holder, you'll have one week starting today, until Midnight EST on Wednesday, October 30, to place a $1,000 deposit to hold your place in line that you've held since you originally reserved a truck. The general public will also be placing orders starting today, but all of them will follow existing Reservation holders until after that Midnight deadline. From that moment on, all reservations will be in chronological order.

Instructions to make a deposit and hold your existing place in line: Between today, Thursday, Oct. 24th and Wednesday, Oct. 30th:
    1. Go to
    2. Enter all of your information again, as you did for the original Reservation.
    3. Please be sure to use the same email address you originally used.
    4. You will be asked to choose either the Bollinger B1 Sport Utility Truck, or the Bollinger B2 Pickup Truck.
    5. No other choices or decisions need to be made other than that during the process.
    6. You will get a confirmation email showing your deposit.

Your deposit is fully refundable at any time. Bollinger Motors will not share any of your information with third parties.

Anyone who has an original Reservation but doesn't place a deposit during the week of Oct 24-30, will no longer have their original place in line held.
All Reservation holders MUST place a deposit of $1,000 to keep their spot. If you are not interested in continuing your Reservation, you don't have to do anything, you will automatically be removed from the list after Midnight on October 30. If you change your mind after that date and reserve a truck, you will be put in the list in chronological order, not in the order you originally had.

If you have any questions please respond to this email and we will get back to you right away.

Thank you again for supporting us on this endeavor. We've been working very hard for 4 years and while we still have a lot to do, we hope you continue to hold your Reservation and see us through to production.

And remember, we will be at the Los Angeles Auto Show with both vehicles November 22 through December 1 if you want to see them in person!

Only one week to decide? Not a big deal I suppose as being later in the line would not matter to most people, but it does make one feel they are being pressured. Not a good feeling to a prospective customer.

So how many plunked down $1k?
