Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had any problems playing their music off of a USB flash drive? I have been playing music off of mine without any problems for like 9 months and now all of a sudden the car acts like there are no files on the drive. Before it stopped working completely sometimes I would get in the car and it wouldn't load my music so I would unplug then reinsert the drive for it to start working again, the first time it happened was maybe 2 months ago. The port however seems to still function fine, even though its not reading my files I can export or import my data from the head unit and use Android Auto.

    So far I have tried:
    • Different USB drives both 2.0 and 3.0
    • Turning the car off and on like a cheap router
    • Formatting the USB drive
    • Deleting the files the head unit puts on to the USB drive
    • Pushing in the little reset button
    • Restoring the head unit to factory settings
    • Removing the media fuse and leaving it out for 1/2 an hour
    • Removing all my music expect for 1 song without any folders

Other than hoping this is some bug and updating the head unit will fix it I am not sure what else to try. I bet the fix is booking an appointment with the dealer as it will magically start working again on the drive to the service appointment.

Anyone ever experience something like this and managed to get your music playing again?

    Thanks.
