  1. Nice car, but why? Less room than the Clarity and no better total range.

The earliest ones had a 72 mi EV range. Later ones had nearly 100 mi EV range.

The range extender easily maintains 70 mph about 39 MPG. It can easily be coded to enable the range extender to run at 75% and get 2.4 gallons in the fuel tank.

No B pillar which makes loading large things easy. The rear passengers have full seats.

Short wheel base and Tesla like acceleration makes a great city car. But it handles highways and winds nicely. Dynamic cruise control works well.

Many were leased so their early years were well maintained.

We bought our Clarity in November, 2017. Other than needing two AC condensers (a common problem), it's been a great car for long trips. Some claim the base model's seats are uncomfortable, but the seats in our Touring model are very comfy. It's not as much fun as our MINI Cooper SE, so we don't drive it much in town. Probably not as much fun as a BMW i3, either, but its wheelbase is 7" longer, there are more Honda dealers, and the parts are cheaper, if you need parts.

Check out InsideEVs' Clarity forum--you'll find many enthusiastic owners and tons of info.
