Pamela Fletcher has been leading teams on various EV projects such as the Spark EV, Bolt EV, Volt, and ELR. But she also led the development of Super Cruise. There were several interviews with her last year following the CES reveal of the mostly-final Bolt EV.

The fact that she is now taking on a more global role probably underscores their intention to expand their EV offerings outside of the US. China is going to be a huge part of EV adoption over the next decade. And GM has seen significant growth in that market over the past several years. Hopefully Asia (and maybe Europe) will finally start to see meaningful numbers of GM plug-ins.

I would also like to see Super Cruise to some of GM's current and upcoming plug-ins. I think there is a good possibility of Super Cruise showing up on the Bolt soon. Or perhaps making this available on Buick's upcoming EV first would be a smart move.

“Nobody is more prepared to help us lead the way to a zero emissions future than Pam Fletcher,” Doug Parks Vice President of Autonomous and Electric Vehicle Programs. “Under Pam’s leadership, GM will continue to deliver electric vehicles that delight our customers and exceed their expectations.”
