I got my car on Aug 13th and I just received an email from 'GrantsOntarioSystem' saying $13,000 has been processed to my Honda dealer. The dealer will probably has to fight with those guys as my rebate is suppose to be $14,000 (and the dealer subtract that from my purchase price) as I ordered my car in late Jan before the March rebate update
the Ontario government changed the EV rebate program on March 9th. Before that, the Volt and the Clarity qualifies for the full $14,000 rebate
Ha, I don't need the luck as I got the $14k from the dealer when I purchase, the dealer will have to get the $1000 from the government
I submitted on May 17 for a Leaf. I have not heard anything and when I call or email, I get no information other than "high number of submissions.....will be processed in coming weeks". Where are people contacting to get someone who will actually look in to their application?
I followed an earlier post's advice and sent an email to [email protected] and they responded within an hour. They asked for mailing address confirmation then let me know I'd have a deposit in my account next week. Give that a try.
bought a BMW i3s 2018 in late June 2018, submitted the application shortly thereafter and Nothing ..no word , no update, no money since.
I received an email back directing me to call the Ministry of Finance who then gave the generic non-answer of they have until their fiscal year-end in March 2019 to process and if we don't receive it then to call back. They insisted that they have no reporting or status that can be provided and that their automated email confirmation, when we originally submitted the application, is the proof that will be needed if things go off the rails.
Okay, that just means that it hasn't got into the "15 days until deposit" part of the process which is probably where the GrantsOntario guys get involved. Those answers you got were consistent with what I got calling the evip contact number. What date did you submit your application?
July 12 for the car EHVIP and Aug 1 for chargers' EVCIP. Feels like a slowly gyrating black-hole! To contrast, one of our health insurance providers can adjudicate & process e-claims in real-time 24/7 within 2 seconds of form completion with direct deposit in 2 days.
Yes, I agree. How long can it take to validate a vehicle purchase invoice and a registration with the VIN of the purchased vehicle on it? I don't doubt Ford used his second official directive to remove all but one of the administrators from the EVIP office. Nonetheless, if you assume an equal flow of applications, you are about 8 weeks behind me, and you have to uncount the month surrounding xmas so you might be getting the rebate in late January or early February. When you hear "we have until..." responses, that is not a good sign.
Base on the 2 people I know that got rebates, you are looking at 5-6 months from submission. Still waiting on mine, but won’t worry about it until 6 months. Sent from my iPhone using Inside EVs
