I've never seen Paul Walker in a movie, but I take notice whenever someone tragically reduces the number people and the number of Porsche Carrera GTs in the world simultaneously.

I am at 70k on my originals now. I think there is maybe 5k left tops.

  4. Why was my previous post deleted?

Was it because I sarcastically referenced a nonsense spewing tire blogger as a genius?

Was it really offensive to someone?

Have we lost our collective sense of humor on this forum?

How about at least notifying a member prior to modifying or deleting a post? And why not delete posts that make unsubstantiated claims or otherwise provide false information?

The stock tires are hard as a rock. I couldn't wait to replace them. I replaced them way before they needed to be. I couldn't wait to install a set of Pirelli Cinturato P7 all season tires. They are an amazing upgrade over the rocks the Clarity comes with. I get it. It is all about fuel economy. The stock Michelins provide fuel economy. That is for sure. But they suck in every other category of driving besides fuel efficiency. Getting a good set of touring tires on the Clarity might cost you a few MPG but it will transform your expectations of how the Clarity can drive. I wouldn't take a free set of the stock Michelins if you offered them to me. They are terrible besides the fuel economy. You will understand and probably agree once you replace them with a real touring tire. Granted I am an aggressive driver and want a car to perform as such. The Clarity is actually a decent handling car with some real rubber under it.

Casey, how are you liking the Pirelli’s 6 months later? My OEM michelin’s are done, and while I’d normally swap to snow tires after October, climate change in my area is such that I almost never have to drive in snow (it’s more slush). So I’m planning to go with all-season tires and skip the swap to winter tires from now on (if it’s really bad out we’ve got an outback and a tundra I can use). My priorities are quiet first, better grip second (tired of chirping/spinning out at stoplights) and efficiency third. Still want it to handle wet/slushy roads though, so let’s make that priority 3.1. I like the reviews on the Pirelli Cinturato P7s but I also like the reviews on the Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season.
