    Because the Owners Manual sez so. I believe one reason is the Clarity's substantial front and rear overhang could easily come in contact with the road or a driveway if a regular tow-truck was dragging it around with one end up in the air. Also, there may be mechanical (and possibly electrical?) jeopardy when dragging the Clarity around with the front wheels on the ground.
