Nissan electric crossover

  1. Nissan intends to sell an electric crossover. Currently it seems like they are referring to it as the LEAF SUV in-house, because it will share the same platform. Not the platform that the just refreshed 2018 model sits on, but the one for the true next-gen LEAF, based somewhat on the IDS concept.

Perhaps not surprisingly, Nissan says, LEAF SUV Will Be Game Changer For Electric Segment.
Whether this is true or not depends, of course, when they release it in relation to the availability of other electric crossovers, and the price.

With all-wheel drive, strong performance, and an (optimistic) NEDC-cycle rating of 372 miles (600 km), it could certainly stand out if it comes out a bit later than some others.

It will be based on the IMx concept, which looks, um, interesting. Looking forward to seeing something a little more production oriented.
