  1. The enclosure is 50cm high x 40cm wide x 20cm deep. Standard electrical enclosures like this normally come with a removable steel panel and latches that require a key or tool to open. The panel allows parts to be attached by drilling and/or threading holes without compromising the environmental integrity.
    These are expensive down here in NZ so I bought the cheapest I could find, but you will have far more cost-effective options in Canada and I would highly recommend stainless steel or fibreglass rather than powder coated steel. You'd want this in a weather-resistant spec, in North American terms that's a minimum rating of NEMA 3.
    These also normally have a removable, gasketed panel at one end, intended to be modified to pass electrical conduit. I used a piano hinge and a strong magnet to make that into an underside door that allows the charging cable to hang out the bottom with the main door closed.
    Then just have an electrician run power and install a standard power outlet on the panel, or DIY if you can.
