A friend of mine had one as a “rental” car in The valley because the lease was like 100% a month in CA. He used it while there for work a few times a month

Well ouch, the new Fiat 500e is priced starting at $34,000 and only gets 149 miles on a charge. And seems it will have limited options, apparently only in red? Making the J01 looking more promising. And the F56 SE keeps its shine as the best-handling EV in North America.

The 2024 Fiat 500e is a $34K EV that appeals to emotion, not logic

La Prima is coming this fall. I spoke to my dealer here in Montreal and it will be around 35k ish Tax in. Lease rates are looking good as i plan on leasing it. This is after 12k of rebates
It will be available in Red, Black and White. Im getting a Black with red accents

North Americans are strange comparing it to a Model 3. The Fiat 500e even in Europe is not a budget choice or best value. Its a lifestyle car, you get one because you want it. They are extremely popular EVs. J01 won’t be sold here until 2027 and will still be expensive AF for the package.

My sister in law and father in law both got Vinfast VF8s. Delivery this week. Now thats a sensible and economical choice on lease

Honestly just get any EV that qualifies if the Roulez-vert rebates are phasing out by the end of 2026. Even the Federal iZEV rebates could be ending by March 2025.

My sales rep called me on Friday saying they are due to get the first cars starting the week of the 20th. I heard 60 cars per dealer in the first batch,20 of each colour. When asking about lease pricing he couldn't conform or deny around 350$ Mo Tax in which is what I expected TBH. No idea about charging credits or L2 unit for home as was suggested in the TfL YouTube for USA. If offered here I'd take the 500$ of charging credits. Insurance is about 500$ a year as well

The hilarious part is Mini called the same day offering a lease "deal" on a 2024 SE but it wasn't much of a deal TBH and I said we already have one also mentioned we planned to get a 500e shortly to which they were confused what it was.

They'll cut me a fair price for our ICE Mini Cooper S as well

On another note Vinfast delayed delivery of the 2 VF8s due to colour issues, not having a white one in stock but also some software updates. Those hopefully will be in this week. They actually are too bad to deal with and super super friendly.
