For a series that started off as a bit of a novelty, it's amazing to see that Formula E now has what is arguably the best driver lineup outside of Formula 1 (ignoring the debate about racing drivers versus rally drivers!) Up until now, the series with the best claim to that crown would have been the World Endurance Champion, especially when you include the one-off entrants in Le Mans. But with a couple of the big manufacturers leaving the WEC, they're also seeing a couple of their biggest drivers leave for Formula E as well! The new season is going to see Le Mans legend Andre Lotterer join, as well as WEC and A1GP champion Neel Jani. Jani's entry is particularly interesting as it hints that he wants to get a bit of experience under his belt so that he's the obvious choice for a seat when Porsche join in the 2018/9 season...
I was surprised that Sarrazin was out at Techeetah. He really seemed to come into his own once he left Venturi.
