Actually they did get touring, they mentioned that in a subsequent post. The idea that the car was sized for Japanese drivers is about forty years out of date. Ergonomics especially for long drives is not a simple subject. Some solutions such as power seats and butt pillows helps for some people, not for others. I think Sandroad had a pretty good list of variables in his post, "It's more than just height; it's leg length, arm length, weight, torso length, neck length, flexibility, width, shape, and pre-conditions that pre-dispose you to problems and probably many other factors."
