Mazda States: "The reason we made a small battery for the MX30 is that it's cleaner to produce for the environment, and that the battery's range is sufficient for the average daily commute".....When I questioned the dealer why there wasn’t a “frunk” considering there’s so much space in the "engine/electric motor" area under the bonnet, he said: "Mazda has left the extra space so they can add a future range extender which uses a petrol engine"! Haha....what about the environment then?? I thought we were trying to get away from fossil burning cars? Some statement! Why didn't they make a bigger battery in the first place??
NB....I am repeating myself here because I mentioned Mazda’s contradiction in my previous post, but thought it worth highlighting again ;)
