An ancient molar cracked and needed to be removed. But I was most impressed by modern pain control. The swabbed, numbing fluid was as effective as novocaine shots were decades ago. Followed by three 'big' shots, they numbed me up for almost 16 hours. Finally, I was put on nitrous that I'd never had before. I joked with the dentist that I'd rather have a joint. Hummmm, medical marijuana for dental and dog bites. Afterwards, Tesla Full Self Driving (beta) drove me to pickup an antibiotic and analgesic. But the earlier shots worked so well I've only been taking the antibiotic and a Tylenol for arthritis. I did drive to Tennessee for lottery tickets and put them under my pillow with the dental paperwork. Hopefully, the 'tooth fairy' will leave a lucky touch.
