Yes, a considerable percentage of them are. Those of us who visit Tesla forums have seen many, many reports from Tesla owners who say "This car is considerably more expensive than any other car I've ever owned, but I thought it was worth it because a Tesla car gives you a much better driving experience than any other"... or words to that effect. The truism "The plural of anecdote is not data" is only true to a certain point. Beyond that, if enough people are doing the same thing, then it actually is data.
