I have always wanted to see more of what's under the hood of a MINI Cooper SE. The inverter on top of the motor is about as interesting as lifting the rear "hood" on a modern Porsche--ie. boring. I want to see the cylindrical cast-aluminum motor housing. Perhaps MINI will someday show the motor by itself (and the battery, too), but impatience prompted me to look at the BMW i3, from whence the SE's motor came. I found this interesting video of a BMW i3 motor being manufactured. This video is an excerpt from a 40-minute video showing the i3 being manufactured.
