Can I convert the incandescent turn indicator bulbs to LED or would that mess up anything?

Frequently they will not work with the flasher unit. Those can be purchased

Thanks. Strange that they weren't OEM since incandescent uses more electric to operate. Must be a cost thing. Anyway the search is on for the proper relay and lights.Anyone have a source to find them?

Not for me to judge but why change them at all Are they not bright enough.

    Aesthetics and less power consumption.

Go ahead if the flasher unit still works.
But 84W total power consumption ?
Saves a drop in the 64,000W battery ocean.

Over the long term LEDs benefit with power savings. That's why they are used mostly in EV's

Your choice but for all the work etc. the saving is miniscule
