Leaf reviewer more than a little impressed with our Kona

  3. Yeah, I didn't agree with everything he said. He seemed to imply that the extra range was due to regen, and going up and down hills helped that. But it did seem to confirm that the Kona is a more efficient EV than the Leaf and probably most others.

    The efficiency of the Kona is truly impressive.
    Not sure how the Kona only got 258 miles based on the EPA cycle. If I drive the Kona normally at the speed limit with the AC off in Eco mode with level 3 regeneration, I will get 300 miles on a charge every time. AC and Heater do have a certain effect but I don't think that those are part of the EPA cycle.
    The EPA number would be pretty accurate with AC use but not without. AC takes about 10% off the range, heater probably 20+%
