Can you list the chargers between Bend OR to Scottsdale AZ that car would use?

Alternatively, list the specific fast DC chargers that the car or an I-Pace could use between Bend OR and Scottsdale AZ.

I don't even know where Scottsdale or Bend are located. I live in Socal where most people come to visit.

You can go from Oregon to Southern California along the 5. From Socal to AZ along the 10.

AZ is like the deep South, EV wasteland. You'll know your in EV wasteland when conversation revolve around the 4 B's. Bible, Beer, BBQ, and bullets.

No problem. Requirements are user specific. Ignorance doesn't matter.

California is huge and we have a fair share of EV wasteland. East California, central California, and north California.

An engineer like yourself already know the answer. I'm sure, you have heard of plugshare and know how to filter.

If you have to charge more than 4 times, it's better flying. I tried the road trip on a Tesla and it's overrated. Rent it on Turo and experience it yourself.

Air travel has become so expensive with delays at both ends, I prefer to drive for any distance less than 700 miles:
    • arrive early
    • pay extra for luggage
    • terrorist walk
    • fly to hub airport
    • wait and change plane
    • fly to hub airport
    • wait and change plane
    • arrive at destination airport
    • wait and get luggage
    • rent car
    Airlines are aluminum bus companies.

Haha! Bob, you are so old school... for a short trip, say Seattle to Vegas, I leave the house at 5AM, Check in at airport at 5:30, I am a Global Entry Trusted Traveller, so always TSA Pre, short security and no laptop removal or shoes, eat breakfast in the airport (Sea Tac has nice food choices) walk onto the plane at 6:20 for a 6:30 takeoff, arrive Vegas 8:40, catching taxi by 9AM, and at Wynn and settled into my room by 9:30AM 4.5 hours total exposure, and I went out to breakfast during the time. In an EV, Tesla or otherwise you could barely make it to Portland in that time and would need to charge. No comparison on time... On a longer trip, for instance when I went to Raleigh, I left Seattle at 10PM, got to Raleigh at 6AM local time rented a car and made it to my first meeting by 7:30 AM... I had 3 meetings, and lunch with friends, got back to he airport by 3PM, and flew back home in time for dinner with my family. I was gone from home less then 24 hours, and flew all the way across the country for 3 meetings, and a lunch, then back home. Try that trip in an EV...

While there are a lot of people who would agree with you, perhaps even the majority of potential car buyers, there are also very clearly a lot of Tesla car owners who don't. If there weren't, then there would not be so many Supercharger stations that are so frequently busy.

And if everyone was as unwilling as you to spend 30 minutes or so per stop charging their car on a road trip, then Tesla wouldn't be so successful at using its Supercharger network to promote sales of its cars.

The saying "Your mileage may vary" applies to EV drivers, too! :)

BEV adoption is about 1% of sales now, in the USA, so it seems its more then a majority that agree with me.

Sometimes it's best just to let a Usual Suspect's ridiculous assertion lie there and ooze embarrassment.

Point being most people agree with me.... Long trips are better left to an ICE vehicle, if time is important to you.

    It is complicated:
    • < 10% of the vehicle mile are local, pure EV is ~2-3x cheaper than gas.
    • Cost per mile of a long, EV trip will likely be higher than an efficient gas vehicle.
    • Cost per mile of a long, EV trip may be cost-competitive to the 25 MPG fleet average.
I'm going to use our BMW i3-REx to benchmark a Huntsville-to-Nashville EV trip with a fast DC recharge midway. Then the Nashville-to-Huntsville gas trip to Huntsville including gas up midway.

Really? I don’t give the fck! It’s like saying BMW owners feel pains because their cars are less fuel efficiency than Hyundai...I enjoy my Tesla and you can take that Korean crap!

Reliable? The damn car hasn’t been on the market for that long. Stop trolling cuz you can’t afford a Tesla. I got the same troll in BMW forum from Hyundai’s sheeps....
