Hasn't been much official news on the Niro of late, but Internet automotive manifest sleuth, Bozi Tatarevic (@hoonable) came across a document that seems to indicate Hyundai imported an electric vehicle for crash testing purposes. Running the VIN through a decoder shows it's a Kia Niro EV.

    So, they're coming!

Are the Kia Niro and the Hyundai Kona similar / the same?

I'm not sure if the dimensions will change much with this updated Niro -- I suspect not -- but today's Niro is 10 inches longer, the same width, and an inch lower.

Thanks - the Niro looks a bit better to me.

Yeah, I'm definitely in that same camp.

The 10"/30cm extra in vehicle length is a significant difference.
