Kia Niro 2020 PHEV in the US can you reduce the volume on the VESS and or the reverse sound?

Hi Bruce: I have a 2020 Niro EV and it has the same function. A loud reverse sound. Unfortunately the volume cannot be turned down. It is all or nothing. I went on You Tube and saw a variety of methods to disable the system. I tried it, but ended up reconnecting it. Keep in mind if you disable the reverse sound, it also turns off the whrrrr sound you hear when you are driving forward (under 20mph) in a parking lot. I bought the SUV new in 2020 and have gotten accustomed to it. I will admit, if I can drive through to a parking space in front of me, without having to reverse to exit the parking space I will do so.
