Recently we have purchased a Jaguar X type which only came with one key Fob. We have purchased a second Fob online, had it cut and programmed it to the car. The new Fob opens and locks the doors but will not start the car (turns in lock). While I understand what part on the new fob isn't working, have I missed any step in pairing them if that doesn't work? or is the Fob faulty?
At the risk of making a Captain Obvious comment, seems to me your best solution is to visit your local Jaguar dealer and talk to someone in the service center.
