My 2019 Kona with 12k miles got a persistent "Refill Inverter Coolant" message just before a 2 hour drive. I didn't have time to fool around for the Torque PID so it was scary to not have an engine temperature gauge to stare at like in ICE cars. Half expected to see dreaded white smoke though no idea what an overheated electric motor does?

Anyway just wondering if anyone has had to deal with this. 12k miles feel awful early to need a coolant top off compared to other cars. I haven't noticed any drips in my garage or anything so probably not leaking.[IMG]

  3. How's the coolant level in the reservoir?

  4. Assuming you have checked the actual level in the reservoir? Have you had the coolant pump recall performed?

If yes to both , than its a trip to the dealer for some warranty care.
EDIT: KiwiME types faster than I do.
