Sorry about posting the wrong image. The below image shows the correct date:

But no one can point to the source. It could be like the February 2 date - put online then taken down again - but it doesn't seem to exist now on anything official from Hyundai.

  4. Yeah, the video hasn't been reposted with a specific date yet, and I've spoken (emailed, actually) with Hyundai U.S. directly about it. Nothing official yet and, while I would not be shocked if the 16th is the actual date, it seems quite soon to not have it nailed down yet.
The Bolt EV and EUV, for instance, are being revealed on the 14th, and I've know this for a while and have received notice of a pre-reveal press briefing.

Starting to look increasingly like it will be the 16th then. The sooner the better!

  8. @salant76, do you have a link for that group? I'd like to join it as well.

Regarding that topelectricsuv.com source, it seems they are just using their info we've already seen. They did manage to gather a lot of it in that post, though.

I am starting to think that the 16th is not in the cards. No second source or confirmation from Hyundai makes me think that date is incorrect.

I'm thinking that too. It's less than a week away but none of the mainstream auto webzines have mentioned it. You would think that Hyundai would want some publicity for the event. There were lots of mentions of the early Feb. event before it was postponed, but pretty much silence in regards to the Feb. 16 date.

There are people in the FB Hyundai Ioniq 5 D/A/CH group claiming that it is still next Tuesday local time. One user from Germany said that their local dealer said the 16th.

Either way it seems strange not to have a set day by now even if it is in the next month or so.

What's this I see on the dash? Can it really be physical buttons and a volume/control knob? :D Plus control stalks for the gear and wipers. At least one of my concerns is allayed.

Now if Hyundai ends up not being able to sell this car in the US due to the SK battery ban, I'm going to be so disappointed!

    @Kendalf,

Looks like it to me with the physical controls.

hopefully there is only a delay with the sale of the ioniq 5 in the US.

A concern I have is if there are going to have animal free seats.

  17. Curious how the "repositioned" seats will work. Like the idea of the leg rest while reclined, wonder if you can do this...while driving:D

  18. My seats are never animal free. There is usually a couple of large dogs on them.

Received the first email since registering my interest a long time ago.
Interesting expected date in the subject for Australia:

Yesterday the linked in the email went to a local au coming soon page which had all the info in the releases above, including the Feb 23 release date, now it has been changed to a generic coming soon page with less information than a couple of weeks ago.

That's promising for us down here. Let's hope that holds up. I've been fully expecting Australian deliveries to push out into next year.

To be honest though, I think it's a hangover from the copy paste from Europe emails saying the same thing, I have no faith in it coming to us this year.
