Does anyone have any reference to how to read the power/charge display? There are blue and white arc lines that seems to be jumping all over the place, white and green lines etc. Some of these lines seem to arcing towards the right, others towards the left, meeting at times etc. I have scoured the official Clarity manual, youtube, google etc and not found a detailed explanation. . I realize that this has something to do with EV vs ICE and how acceleration is involved but am still confused.
It seems very straightforward to me. The only question I have is the scale of the CHARGE portion, compared to the scale of the POWER portion. I hope that they're very different, otherwise the power that I'm capturing by regenerative braking is insignificant, and I don't think it is because some of you mountain dwellers have reported an actual increase in EV range based on long downhills.
I want to know it means when portions of the blue and white curved lines are dashed and not solid? Is this in the manual somewhere that I have missed? LeoP
I think the dashed white is an area where the ICE may or may or may not come on, while the solid white is it will come on. But I’m so very rarely in HV that I could be mistaken.
I do not see this in my owner's manual. I downloaded the manual from "techinfo.honda.com" as a pdf file called ATRW1818OG and pg 122 does not have this information. The image you posted does not appear anywhere in this manual. Is it possible that you are using a different manual which is more complete? Also, I'm a bit confused by the green charge indicator on the left side and the white indicator on the right. Also, why do they have thicker and thinner sections? thinner? Where do you see regen braking on this display?
You must be looking at the smaller Owners Guide. Here's a link to the PDF Owners Manual. Happy reading!
Thanks so much for that link (I couldn't find it anywhere). It's far more comprehensive than the one I was using.
