HondaLink app: Find My Car

I've used Find My Car many times in the HondaLink app on my Android phone. Normally when it finds the car it posts the street address in text and also shows it on a map. Recently the map is missing.

Has anyone else had this problem? Did you find a solution?

I also notice on Facebook that most of the posts in my feed have images but some are blank, just like the Find My Car map is blank. I don't know if these are related.

I deleted the HondaLink app and reloaded it but that was not a fix.

I just tried mine for you and it’s giving me the map, street #, and distance to car from my present location. So even after update it seems normal. Except for no longer giving the time to complete charge that they inexplicably removed.

Thank you KentuckyKen. I have the same problem with youtube.com. Most youtube.com pictures show up as normal but some are blank. It may be a setting on my phone. I'll keep poking around to see if I can find a fix.

My wife's phone also does not show the map on find-my-car. I suspect it is a bug in the latest release of HondaLink 3.6.0. What version is your copy?

Mine was updated to the June update, 3.6.0 and I’m running it on an iPhone 7 on AT&T. Every thing seems to work as before except for the time to complete charge which seems to have been removed for all of us.
It’s things like this that make me hate computers, especially now that my teenage tech support has grown up and successfully fledged.

A post in another thread from someone having trouble registering their HL mentioned that HL tech support told him their system went down last week and came back up on the 27th. Try it today; maybe that was part of the problem???

Another possibility is that either your phone is denying the app access to location services or the new version of the app isn't properly requesting access to location services. On my Android, when I start the app (still v3.4.3), the little location services icon appears in the status bar at the top.

It reports the correct address in text, just no map

I just got an update to 3.7.0 in Android. It shows the map & also the specific address if I select "View Details". I don't know if the update had any effect on that, since I really haven't paid any attention to it until now.
