We haven't seen a heck of a lot out of Honda when it comes to actual production-intent plug-in offerings (perhaps at this year's Tokyo show?), but at lease they seem to be aware of the over capacity in petrol cars, and a need to start focusing up on EVs. I think Honda will at least change their line up to reflect similar offerings in the market. Tokyo will be telling, for sure
I really like the pace they're on. We'll still be able to use the credit for cars well into the maturity cycle for PHEVs and Chevy and Nissan will be used up. Three years from now hopefully the credit will still be available and maybe we can use it for a PHEV with 100+ range and recharging times cut in half--and maybe an increment closer to Tesla-like torque.
