Just received this card in the mail. Has anyone else received this? Anyone know what it’s about? I looked up my VIN on the recall search, but there was nothing.

Did you get your 3G telematics sunset?

I have not received anything like this for my 2021.

This looks like an aftermarket warranty company trying to scare you into buying their product. Note the second picture includes the line "FACTORY WARRANTY REPLACEMENT NOTICE" and includes phrases like "uninterrupted protection" and "continued protection".

    Definitely a warranty scam.

A common marketing (spam) that they send out for any make and model. I get them for two of my cars (model and VIN substituted).

There is a 12 V battery cover replacement for some 2022 models that could be considered dangerous. But I'd call your MINI service department and ask them, they'll have any recall info for your vehicle. That notice sure looks like a car warranty scam.

Well there are zero "Mini Cooper Dealerships" in USA but there's always room for a first!

BMW Mini or any European carmakers would not have worded their correspondence in such manner.
In addition , there are no official bmw/mini logos anywhere. It's pretty obvious.

If you follow through on that notice there is a high risk that you will notice less money in your bank account.

You were all correct. Battery cover thingy. Apparently it’s an unlisted recall item. I guess when you do the online VIN lookup it only sources the really important recall items. I’m at the MINI service center getting said thingy installed.

Jim, I had my SE in for the first service at the Mini service center and got the same update. I was concerned the update would overwrite my BimmerCode updates but it didn’t.

I had the 3 hour reprogramming of the 3G to 5G done a couple weeks ago. The MINI Service Center was very accommodating and Lyfted my home and back for that one. Even though I did not buy my car in Tucson, the “dealer” has been extremely terrific to work with.

And the new battery cover. I forgot to take a photo of the old one. If someone would be so kind, I’m really curious as to the difference.

According to my service rep some SE’s need both the new battery cover as well as a new positive battery cable. My SE only needed the cover.

+1 on that. I wonder why they’re not franchised to sell new Minis. Ordered mine from Mini Tempe and had it shipped down.
