High performance and short range etrons on their way.

I could be very interested in an Etron with less power and corresponding smaller battery. Reduced charging times and A lower price point would be very welcome. If paired with lower power output, a smaller/lighter battery doesn’t necessarily mean less range. I’m happy with cars that have a 0-60 of around 9 seconds, so the 5.5 second time of the current Etron is way overkill for me.

Just got an email from Audi, inviting me to view their latest video and other promotional material on their latest e-tron. Looks like a great car, but I had to stop wasting my time when presented with the information that the car price will START in the mid-70's (USD). Good luck with that, however well-engineered it may be.

 

Probably not a bad thing, the current ETron SUV is pretty darn expensive, although still much cheaper than the Tesla X...
