Ford will be revealing (probably Monday) an all-electric SUV called the Mach 1 that takes inspiration from the Mustang and Explorer and will be built in 2020. Will add details when we get them. But feel free to discuss. Is this an iPace killer?
And just to underline Ford's swerve toward EVs, they've more than doubled the money they're investing in electrification and upping the number of near-future electrics by, like, a lot. Looks like they aren't revealing the Mach 1 at this show. They might not even keep the name if there's a bunch of backlash, which, of course, there is. Maybe New York Auto Show, then?
It did not come to New York, and since it's launching in 2020, the Detroit Auto Show makes sense for a reveal, or possibly a little earlier inn L.A. Here's hoping it looks better than this speculative render:
