The President had an appearance today at Ford's dearborn EV plant, where he talked to different team members and took the yet-to-be-revealed F-150 Lightning for a spin. I was during the test drive portion that Biden spilled the beans on the truck's acceleration figures. You can watch it in the video below, but after coming back from the first part of his drive of the truck, he's starts talking about its quickness and gives the 0-to-60 as 4.3 seconds. He asks for clarification and is told 4.4 seconds.
Biden also toured a few displays featuring different aspects of the Ford F-150 Lightning -- video below. The most revealing station he visited was attended by chief engineer Linda Zhang. Here we learned a couple key things. First, the built a it's own chassis. Two, the battery pack (the biggest one, if there's more than one, I imagine) weighs 1,800 lbs. I'm guessing it's bigger than 100 kWh.
