Hi all, I’ve been having a strange problem where my car would be parked and the turn signal would sporadically start flashing like in the video. Wondering if anyone has had this problem or know what it could be. I researched a bit and it might be BCM. Please share any problems you’ve had with this before.
Any other details about your Clarity to be had? Are you the original owner? Is there any chance your car was water-damaged? More backround if relevant could be useful.
Although I have not experienced this, if the problem is one of the vehicle's 'modules', the BCM is really the only one in the turn signal circuit. This post shows the electrical diagram that illustrates this: https://www.insideevsforum.com/community/index.php?threads/turn-signals-not-working.18433/#post-199870 There is always the possibility of an intermittent wiring / connector issue too. You can get a used BCM in the $100-$150 range on eBay... New ones are more like $600.
