Those that aren't Tesla claim they are launching this year in 2020. As I understand the non Teslas are based on the Rimac platform which has been in existence since 2013 but their claims have been updated to match the bast Tesla Roadster specs. Of course Tesla already demonstrated what they all aspire to a few years back and they will all cost 10x what the Tesla will cost and none of them will touch the Roadster with the SpaceX additions and all together they will make 450 total between the lot of them whereas Tesla will make a ton of Roadsters which are just as exotic but likely better performing on things like range and tech even for 1/10th the price. The Ferrari and Lotus brands are doing something defensive because Tesla has already disrupted them. Porsche/VW also bought into Rimac.

Also the Evija is already compromised in a way in that in order to sit the driver lower they stacked the battery behind the driver to simulate a classic mid-engine- that sounds great on paper but the problem it that's a higher center of gravity even if it makes for a slightly lower profile car.

What is interesting for Tesla is it has to avoid having thunder stolen as with the CATL 1 million mile battery announcement. But if it goes first it may lose brand positioning against these super limited edition EVs.

  3. Why do you worship Tesla so much!!?? Elon Musk is a pretty smart guy,... most of the time. But he is no God,... very human actually, and quite a capitalist as well. Gotta admire anyone that put a $30/share book value company over $1000 share price.

And BTW, there is a Tesla forum below...
